Government announces plan to implement workhubs and live/work

Live/Work Network's current workhubs project for the Government is cited as the first step towards delivering the exemplar hub and live/work schemes advocated by the Taylor Review.

An implementation plan has been published by the Government as a response to the 2008 Taylor Review of the rural economy.

Commissioned by the prime minister, the report by Matthew Taylor MP called the government to back exemplar hub and live/work schemes.

Recommendation 29, the implementaion plan explains, is being delivered through LWN's workhubs project, which will 'be used to advise agencies such as the Homes and Communities Agency on the most effective ways to help support the creation of new exemplar hub facilities as suggested in the Taylor Review'.

Download the implementation plan.
